Tonight I was revisiting some old photos and came across a shoot I did with my good friend Jose. The story starts back in 2008 when I fell in love with a rock band called “Hey Mercedes” and, in particular, a song of theirs called “It’s Been A Blast”. Not only that, but I had started my photography company just 5 months before and was very excited to start creating powerful portraits. I really wanted to create an image that conveyed my interpretation of the lyrics to my new favorite song. We took picture after picture, as we would patiently wait for a plane to fly over in the right area for the shot we wanted.
